About the Artist

Hi there! My name is Hailey McGuire. I was born and raised in West Virginia. I currently reside in Morgantown, where I received my BFA in Painting at WVU in 2020. As an artist, I am deeply inspired by the complexities of the human experience, spirituality, and trauma. By evaluating these things through art, I aim to create a safe space for reflection and healing. Rather than adhering to a strict set of rules or techniques, I allow my paintings to evolve and change over time, often incorporating elements of chance and unpredictability into the process. This approach creates a sense of movement and energy that reflects the dynamic nature of our world and the constant flux of our lives. Overall, I aim to create a sense of connection and empathy, reminding us that we are all in this together, navigating the unpredictable waters of existence.
